Equality and our neighbors to the south

Level the field

...other nations do as we have done, all immigrants should be welcome. We can "out-source" jobs or allow immigration, only when all the pay and benefits are equal. In the real world, let's have a "level playing field." Wally Olson Auke Bay
A voters' lottery a voter should do. Crazy? Off the wall? What a surprise it might be to see that voter turnout in Juneau wasn't 30 percent or so, but 80 percent to 90 percent! OK. I'm ready to donate $100 to a voters' lottery. Wally Olson Auke Bay
Are we all equal in health care debate?

...that our elected members of Congress and Senate have voted to give themselves. They could just extend those benefits to all legal citizens. Fair is fair isn't it? Are we all equal or are some people more equal than others? Wally Olson Auke Bay
Big corporations not an even playing field

We must distinguish science from rhetoric

...disagree and come up with alternative explanations. There is a whole world of difference between "science" and "rhetoric," and if we don't understand and appreciate the difference, we are in for a whole world of trouble. Wally Olson Auke Bay
UAS should now give its point of view
