Asia-bound cargo ship held in Alaska harbor amid inquiry

ANCHORAGE - A cargo ship picking up seafood to take back to Asia has been detained in an Alaska harbor amid an environmental crimes investigation, federal prosecutors said.The Coast Guard conducted an inspection of the 600-foot Lindavia when it stopped in Dutch Harbor, the Alaska Dispatch News reported.Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Feldis said Wednesday that the Coast Guard found deficiencies and other issues requiring further investigation. He said he could not provide further details as the investigation continues.
