Heavy snow and intervention by U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski kept illegal alien Ernesto Guillen wondering Tuesday whether he would be deported immediately after all.

Juneau resident Ernesto Guillen packed his bags last week for voluntary deportation to Mexico and a painful separation from his wife and four children.

Monday evening was perhaps the last day Ernesto Guillen would spend with his family for a long time.
