Juneau Jazz & Classics Festival begins Friday

The 29th annual Juneau Jazz & Classics festival kicks off this weekend with the modern gospel, soul and R&B sounds of the Jones Family Singers Friday night at Centennial Hall, and continues without pause until swing revival band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy plays the same stage May 16. In between, music of many different genres will grace venues traditional and unusual all over town, performed by musicians renowned for their talents.
