Alaska can't keep up with Medicaid caseload

How is it that the state of Alaska is in the process of cutting education funding but can afford to pay more than 100,000 hours for Medicaid expansion? How is that combat veterans wait more than a year for findings from the Veterans Administration regarding benefits that they earn, but asking people to wait 30 days for an entitlement program is in acceptable? If the state of Alaska cannot keep up with the current Medicaid caseload, how will they be able to keep up with the expansion? It is time to ask what this expansion will truly cost and time to reevaluate where our priorities are.
