ASAA names a new executive director

ANCHORAGE, AK - According to a press release from the Alaska School Activities Association on Friday, William "Billy" Strickland, who has served as the ASAA Board of Directors President for the past three years, has been chosen by the ASAA Board of Directors as the organization's next executive director.Strickland was selected to succeed Gary Matthews, who retires on July 3, 2014, after serving as ASAA executive director for the past 21 years. Strickland will be the ninth director in the 57-year history of ASAA.
