Now Playing Synopsis: A pompous author is forced to move back home after his career hits the skids, and he falls for a free-spirited beauty who claims to be dying in this quirky romantic comedy. The success of his first novel now a distant memory, Kyle Livingston (Josh Cooke) longs to recapture his former glory. But his life is falling apart and his options are running out. Reluctantly returning home to live with his estranged, agoraphobic father Alan (Barry Bostwick), the fallen scribe finds his domestic rage swelling until a chance meeting with sassy bohemian Joy Bailey (Liane Balaban). Gorgeous, vibrant, and unpredictable, Joy is everything Kyle has ever wanted in a woman, and before long he's back at the keyboard writing. His newfound happiness proves short-lived, however, when his vivacious muse reveals that she's dying and would like him to write her obituary. Now, the deeper Kyle falls in love with Joy, the more his skepticism over her grim claim grows. With the help of his family, he strives to convince Joy that they've got all the time in the world if they want it. Unfortunately for both of them, a happy future together just might not be in the cards. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi Cast: Josh Cooke, Liane Balaban, Barry Bostwick, Lainie Kazan Movie Details Play Trailer
