Juneau History Grant applications available now The Juneau Douglas City Museum is now accepting applications for the the Juneau History Grant, which provides an opportunity for researchers to receive assistance for a project involving the history of the Juneau area.
Local author James Kohn will be discussing his book, "Half-Ton of Trouble," on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Juneau-Douglas City Museum for the December Coffee & Collections event.
The Juneau History Grant Committee is currently accepting applications for the Juneau History Grant, according to a release from the City and Borough of Juneau. The grant is for up to $1,000 and funds "projects by local citizens of all ages who wish to research, write, photograph, or in some other way document, preserve or improve access to the history of the Juneau area," the release states. The grant is funded by an endowment from the Juneau Centennial Committee.
Applications for the 2012/2013 Juneau History Grant are available from the Juneau-Douglas City Museum.
