Wilderness Safety Challenge coming to Juneau

Ever wonder what you would do if your boat flipped over in the middle of the Gastineau Channel? Or if your friend got frostbite on a winter camping trip in the backcountry? Or if your float plane crashed in the middle of nowhere? If so, there's a class for that. A free course on backcountry safety and wilderness survival tips, called the Wilderness Safety Challenge and hosted by the North American Outdoor Institute and the Alaska Avalanche Information Center, will be held in Juneau next month.
