Hope for America

...and the chance for greatness, but she will become greatness itself. She will become us. Apathy suffocates and under-nourishes her. Hate clips her wings. Let her fly. Let her be free. Have hope for our America. Ishmael C. Hope Juneau
Write letters

...soul. I suggest that people who understand Juneau, who understand what we have, and what we have to give, that these people start writing letters to the editor in major newspapers around Alaska, starting with Anchorage. Ishmael C. Hope Juneau

...instituting a state income tax, suddenly that politician loses votes. Who has the bravery to work toward ensuring a stable future? I trust the one who keeps families first, not parties, or companies, or votes, but families. Ishmael C. Hope Juneau

Programs deserve support We have to spend six hours a day in schools and nine hours a day at work, with Sundays neatly fit in the schedule for reflection. Wouldn't it be nice to have a small part of the day allowed for reverence? Ishmael C. Hope Juneau
