Out of five Alaska cities included in a national economic study, Juneau ranked second behind Homer as having the highest total nonprofit arts industry spending per capita.
On May 20 we held a very successful Mexican Fiesta for the benefit of El Puente de Esperiza, the work of Conchita Walker. It was so well-attended that we ran out of food. So first of all I would like to thank all of the people who attended the dinner in support of Conchita Walker's work.

The sixth Alaska Basic Arts Institute concluded last Thursday with a gallery walk and performances by the 36 teachers from 11 districts statewide.
