ANCHORAGE - Trail enthusiasts are invited to meet at the group camp site next to Byers Lake in Denali State Park for a day of fun and volunteer work with staff from the Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. In celebration of National Trails Day, the parks division is hosting a full day of events that will include trail brushing projects , hiking and educational opportunities at the scenic lake.

ANCHORAGE - The Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2011 Recreational Trails Grants. Funding is available for development and maintenance of recreational trails and facilities, acquisition of trail right-of-way and development of trail safety and education programs.
